Aquatic Manager Assistant – WD Swim Richmond

We’re looking for an Aquatic Manager Assistant to support the daily operations of our aquatic programs and facility. Position Overview
The Aquatic Manager Assistant works closely with the Aquatic Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the pool and programs. This role includes supporting staff, assisting with program development, ensuring safety compliance, and helping provide the best possible experience for our swimmers and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily aquatic operations, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Support the development and delivery of swim lessons, aquatic fitness, and recreational activities.
  • Help train, schedule, and mentor lifeguard and instructor staff.
  • Assist with safety drills and emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with parents, swimmers, and staff.
  • Monitor swimmer progress and help instructors deliver constructive feedback.
  • Maintain pool equipment and ensure the facility is safe and welcoming.
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Aquatic Manager.

Qualifications

  • Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications (required).
  • Experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard, or in aquatics leadership (preferred).
  • Strong swimming and water safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working with children and families in a teaching, coaching, or childcare setting is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a passion for aquatics and community programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
