Aquatic Supervisor

We are on the hunt for an experienced Aquatic Supervisor to join our team at Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre. Be part of a team that supports the growing community by ensuring a safe and welcoming pool environment for all.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

  • In this position of responsibility, you will showcase your established leadership skills and knowledge of pool operations.
  • You will support the Aquatics Team Leader by leading a team of lifeguards and ensuring standards such as operating procedures, Poolsafe, water quality, pool supervision, and cleanliness.
  • You will be an influential leader supporting the team to ensure the facility is running to standard while also going above and beyond for our customers.

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

To be successful in this position you will:

  • Hold your current comprehensive First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
  • Have a minimum of 18 months relevant experience in a pool or aquatic environment.
  • Have your level 3 Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in written format.
  • You are someone with serious potential to inspire, motivate, and develop staff, empowering them to make day-to-day decisions to help influence the positive direction of the aquatics team.

Shift Days & Hours:

  • Tuesday 1.15-9.45pm
  • Wednesday 1.15-9.45pm
  • Thursday 1.15-9.45pm
  • Friday 5am-1.30pm
  • Sat 6.30am-3pm

  • Position: Full-time, permanent.
  • Salary: $28.51 - $31.68 per hour.
  • Location: Pioneer Recreation and Sport Centre, 75 Lyttelton Street, Somerfield
