As an Architect Lead, you will help us build an ecosystem for the future of e-mobility. As we scale fast, we need architecture that scales with us, flexibly, pragmatic and empowering.


What will you do

  • Provide Vision & Principles: Define and share the architectural north stars — our guiding intent and non-negotiables. Clarify trade-offs (speed vs. reliability vs. cost) and empower teams to make balanced choices.
  • Steward Enabling Constraints:
    Maintain and evolve Spirii’s Tech Radar and Constraints Catalog. Continuously adapt constraints based on real-world feedback, retiring what no longer serves.
  • Coach & Multiply: Run architecture office hours, design pairing sessions, and guild discussions.
    Grow the architectural literacy of engineers through lightweight practices like ADRs and option-making.
  • Facilitate Cross-Cutting Decisions:
    Step in when architectural choices span multiple teams or carry systemic impact.
    Align through facilitation and shared understanding, not sign-off authority.
  • Capture & Feed Back Learning:
    Turn lessons from incidents, retros, and design reviews into systemic improvements.
    Feed insights back into shared patterns, principles, and learning loops.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has relevant experience with the development of digital cloud-based solutions
in an agile start-up / scale-up environment.

Must-have experience:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ in architecture or principal roles.
  • Deep experience designing and evolving distributed, event-driven, or microservice architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native ecosystems (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, DevOps, and containerization.
  • Proficient with Cloud Security
  • Experience facilitating technical strategy across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communicator and mentor — able to translate architecture into clarity and action.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern stacks (Node.js, Kotlin/Java, Python, React, Kubernetes).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field — or equivalent experience.
