Architectural Designer/Drafter

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Residential Designer/Drafter with a strong architectural background to join our team. This role focuses on producing high-quality plans and collaborating with Design Directors and production teams to bring innovative residential projects to life. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design Directors, estimators, and production to develop accurate and imaginative plans that align with project goals and client visions.
• Utilize Chief Architect and other tools to create detailed construction documents, including foundation plans, elevations, roof plans, and wall sections.
• Issue plan revision sets for schematic design review, concept resolution, bid walkthrough, permit plan, and construction documentation.
• Survey existing spaces to produce precise as-built drawings and refine designs for remodeling projects.
• Knowledge of building science and construction of older homes
• A strong background in various design aesthetics and budget ranges, along with comfortable professionalism when partnering with "high end" client base
• Ensure all construction documents meet building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards, while bringing a fresh and innovative approach to each project.
• Engage in design meetings to provide creative input, address technical challenges, and refine project concepts.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in residential architecture, leveraging new ideas to enhance the design process.
• Support projects from concept to construction, ensuring every detail aligns with the overall creative vision and practical requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• 8+ years of drafting experience, with a focus on residential design and remodeling.
• Proficiency in Chief Architect
• A strong eye for detail and a passion for blending technical precision with creative solutions.
• Deep understanding of residential construction techniques, building codes, and regulations.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Displays a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
• Will need to provide a Portfolio or samples of previous work demonstrating proficiency in architectural drafting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
