Architectural Steel Fabricator
Salary: We offer wages above industry rates and will be based on experience, with opportunities for higher pay depending on qualifications and performance.
About Us:
We are a leading engineering company specialising in the fabrication of architectural and structural steelwork, including balconies, balustrades, handrails and bespoke fabrications. As part of our expansion, we are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our growing team. We have a fantastic fabrication team, led by really good guys any good fabricator will fit right in quickly.
Role Overview:
This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled fabricator with at least 5 years of experience in general fabrication and TIG welding. We are looking for someone with a strong background, who takes pride in producing high-quality results. You will work independently and as part of a team, ensuring precision, quality, and attention to detail in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate high-quality products
- Perform TIG welding to a high standard, particularly with stainless steel.
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings to complete fabrications to specification.
- Maintain high standards of quality, particularly in finishes and details.
- Ensure safe working practices at all times and adhere to EN1090 standards.
- Use initiative to solve problems and complete tasks efficiently.
- Assembly of fabricated parts such as balconies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in fabrication, with a strong focus on stainless steel and sheet metal work.
- Completed apprenticeship in fabrication or a related trade (essential).
- Proficiency in TIG welding with a proven track record of high-quality stainless steel work.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings with precision and attention to detail.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (required).
- A full set of tools in good condition (minimum tools will not suffice).
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
