Area Manager | South Dublin Pubs

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Area Manager to oversee and support the business development of five South Dublin pubs within the Louis Fitzgerald Group.

This is a senior operational role suited to a strong hospitality leader with extensive Food & Beverage experience, excellent people management skills and a proven ability to drive standards, service, sales and profitability across multiple venues.

The successful candidate will work closely with General Managers and their teams to support day-to-day performance, develop people, strengthen systems, and ensure each venue is operating to the highest standard. You will meet and report to the Directors weekly, providing clear updates on performance, opportunities, challenges and agreed actions.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong Food & Beverage experience in pubs, restaurants, gastropubs or high-volume hospitality venues.
• Proven experience leading managers and developing teams across multiple sites.
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of sales, margins, labour, stock, budgets and KPIs.
• A strong track record in improving standards, service and operational performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and coaching skills.
• A hands-on, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work across South Dublin venues, including evenings, weekends and key trading periods when required.

About You

You will be a confident, experienced and energetic hospitality professional who understands the pace, standards and commercial demands of busy suburban Dublin pubs.

You will know how to get the best from General Managers and their teams, creating a culture of accountability, support and high standards. You will be comfortable moving between strategic oversight and hands-on operational support, ensuring each pub delivers excellent service while achieving its commercial targets.

You will bring strong Food & Beverage knowledge, a passion for hospitality and the ability to identify opportunities that improve both the guest experience and business performance.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

The Area Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing and supporting the performance of five South Dublin pubs.
• Driving business development, sales growth and profitability across the area.
• Supporting General Managers in the day-to-day running of their venues.
• Ensuring consistently high standards of food, beverage, service, cleanliness and presentation.
• Leading, coaching and developing management teams and wider venue teams.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning across the area.
• Assisting venues in achieving agreed sales, labour, margin, stock and service targets.
• Identifying opportunities to improve service, increase trade and strengthen local customer engagement.
• Supporting promotions, events, seasonal activity and local business initiatives.
• Ensuring strong communication between venue management, support teams and Directors.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety, health and safety, employment and company standards.
• Provide hands-on support
