JOB DESCRIPTION:

BSI Paving is a leading concrete and paving company seeking an experienced Asphalt Operator to join our team. As an Asphalt Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient and precise operation of heavy equipment to lay asphalt on roads, driveways, and other surfaces. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate and control asphalt pavers, rollers, skid steer and other heavy equipment to lay and finish asphalt surfaces.

- Ensure the proper grade and thickness of asphalt are achieved according to project specifications.

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.

- Collaborate with the paving crew to coordinate work activities and achieve project goals.

- Monitor asphalt temperatures and adjust equipment settings as needed for optimal results.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the equipment and work area.

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

- Provide guidance and training to less experienced crew members as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Proven experience as an Asphalt Operator or similar role in the construction industry.

- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) recommended, but not required.

- Knowledge of asphalt mix designs, paving procedures, and equipment operation.

- Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.

- Physical ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods.

- Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends and overtime.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
