Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assembler / Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the assembly processes, including being able to use a manual lathe, radial drill and band saws . This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently meeting strict specifications.
Duties
- Operate lathes, drills and saws to manufacture precision parts according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Electrical knowledge an asset
- Assembly work in the final process of manufacturing
- Apply GD&T principles to maintain tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) when required for specific applications.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify dimensions of finished products.
- Maintain tooling and hand tools in good working condition, ensuring efficient operation.
- Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials, including the use of power tools and forklifts when necessary.
- Engage in continuous improvement practices within the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Assembler / Machinist in a manufacturing setting is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Basic math skills are necessary for calculations related to machining tasks.
- Experience with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
