As an Assembly Technician Trainee, you support our electronics production team in building hardware used in IQM quantum computers. This is a hands-on role where you work with electronic components, learn how advanced hardware is assembled, and support the daily work of the production team. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers and gain practical experience in a high-tech production environment.

This is a fixed-term summer internship for approximately four months, with a preferred start date in June 2026.

What will I be doing?

  • Assembling electronic components and subassemblies used in quantum computer systems

  • Supporting the production team with day-to-day assembly tasks

  • Following assembly instructions, technical drawings, and work guidelines

  • Preparing and organizing components and materials for production work

  • Ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety in daily assembly tasks

  • Assisting with packaging and preparation of electronic components

  • Updating assembly documentation and production records when needed

  • Testing electronics products time to time with automated test equipment

  • Working closely with technicians and engineers to support smooth production workflows

What skills do I need?

  • Ongoing studies in microelectronics, electrical engineering or a related technical field

  • Interest in hands-on electronics work and technical systems

  • Careful and systematic approach to practical work

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and simple reporting

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

  • Comfortable using English in daily work

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with basic electronic components and tools
