About the role
The purpose of Asset Integration Specialist -Civil & Structure role is to ensure V/Line’s Track & Civil Maintenance requirements are integrated into state and third-party projects, ensuring a smooth transition of assets into revenue services. This involves liaising with project teams and supervisors to address project scopes and non-technical queries.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Establish and Document Maintenance Requirements: Build networks with subject matter experts (SMEs) within Asset Management (AM) to document site-specific maintenance needs and communicate these to the project teams.
- Engage SMEs and Participate in Workshops: Utilise SMEs to ensure AM requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle, and participate in stakeholder engagement, risk assessments, and safety in design workshops.
- Review and Guide Work Readiness Deliverables: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance documentation, such as asset training needs analysis, spares, maintenance-related design packages. testing plans and provide guidance on non-signalling testing and commissioning requirements.
- Support Non-Technical Queries and Drive Quality Culture: Act as the first point of contact for network maintenance-related queries, support on RFIs, and drive a quality culture to minimise risks and optimise asset management.
- Inspect and Assess Compliance of Works: Focus on major commissioning and handover events to support infrastructure handover activities, ensuring that critical Structure & Civil Maintenance requirements are integrated into all state and third-party projects throughout their lifecycle
About you
Our ideal candidate for this position is a highly organised professional with strong experience in asset management and project integration, particularly within the rail industry. They should excel in stakeholder engagement, possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance and quality in all project phases.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Engineering Degree in Civil & Structure and interfacing Assets Management OR
- Extensive Experience: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in the following areas- Civil & Structure and interfacing Assets Management, include Bridges, Platform, Gantry, Retaining Structures.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex, fast-paced projects
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Civil & Structure maintenance, including Bridges, Platforms, Gantries, and Retaining Structures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills and experience working with various stakeholders.
