About the Role
We are now seeking to hire a part-time Assistant Accountant to join our team to support the day-to-day financial operations of our hotel. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, managing revenue processes, and assisting the Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
- Process invoices, payments, and billing accurately and on time
- Assist with VAT returns and reconciliations
- Perform daily cash handling and reconciliations
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Assist with monthly reporting, audits, and year-end processes
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and ledger accounts
- Maintain financial records and accounting systems
- Payroll processing & reconciliations
- Assist with budgets, stock counts, and inventory tracking
- Any Ad hoc duties when required
Requirements
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience in a similar finance role (hospitality preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
