Job Description

If you have a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and excellent time management skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Reporting to our Financial Control Lead (while working closely with the Financial Accountants), you’ll assist The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery financial accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely closing of monthly accounts.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Entering and processing transactions across our core systems
Managing high volumes of reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and overseeing provisions and accruals
Completing month-end adjustments and supporting reporting
Managing bank payments

Qualifications

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Accountant with strong technical skills. You’ll be a self-starter, ready to take ownership of your workload and hit the ground running. Your accounting experience will be complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. As a solution-focused problem solver, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Our ideal candidate will also have:

Several years of experience in Assistant Accountant roles, with strong reconciliation and analysis skills
Experience reviewing and documenting accounting processes, with a solid understanding of financial systems (Oracle Fusion experience is a plus)
The ability to clearly communicate financial data
