Job Summary:
The Assistant Construction Superintendent supports the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, maintaining schedules, and assisting with problem-solving throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing on-site construction activities and ensuring work is completed according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Monitor site safety and compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks, ensuring standards are met.
- Assist in scheduling, documentation, and reporting progress to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Address site challenges proactively to minimize delays.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and inspectors.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in construction site management or supervision.
- Knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, or other construction management software (preferred).
- OSHA 10/30 Certification (preferred).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
