Assistant Coordinator & Social Media Assistant

This jobs entails you working primarily from home for TWO connected organisations for a total of 16-21 hours paid salary of £28kpa pro rata. Please note that this job requires you to work 2pm-5.30pm on a minimum of 3 days plus one full day a week and will the job not suit someone who has to pay childcare costs. You may occasionally be required to work one or two Saturdays a month for 2 hours each in person at the Contact Centre in Lambeth.

In addition, there is additional contact supervision work available at £25ph for the right candidate undertaken purely in their own personal time.

Reporting to: Board of trustees & Director

Assistant/Co-ordinator: Principle Duties and Responsibilities

We will ask you to:

1. schedule supervision of children’s contact with their parents, family, friends and carers;

2. distribute concise, relevant and accurate recording of contact sessions and discussions, that have been prepared by session supervisors, in line with internal policy and procedural guidance;

3. ensure that client confidentiality is maintained (in accordance with procedures) at all times;

4. review and accept referrals in line with the referral policy and procedure;

5. schedule and oversee volunteer supervision, organise team meetings, monitor training and organise training needs of volunteers;

6. organise, prioritise and manage workload under your own initiative in a creative and flexible manner;

7. assist at board meetings by taking minutes and undertaking assigned research tasks asked by the board of trustees;

8. to function as a member of the team carrying out duties and responsibilities required for the day to day running of the service; and

9. to undertake all other duties/ responsibilities (as may reasonably be required) that may arise within the overall job role including organising and taking minutes of the board meetings.

For the company, you will also:

10. answer phone calls dealing with enquiries and taking messages from the clients as needed so a good telephone voice and manner is essential. We have a Legal Aid contract so you will be trained to comply with basic admin requirements under the contact.

11. be working to a high standard of the English language as the company is a legal company so it is essential that you are competent in the professional presentation of business correspondence.

12. This role is performance related and acute attention to detail in securing client evidence for legal aid is of paramount importance if you are to achieve competence for the role.

Person specification

Qualifications and Experience:(Essential = E / Desirable = D)

Experience in working with children or caring for children. (D)

Experience in child-centred work with specific knowledge/and or experience in fostering, adoption, teaching or family work. (D)

Experience of managing a team of volunteers and staff. (D)

Experience of reporting to a board/and or committee. (D)

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (E)

An understanding of parental and carer conflict following family breakdown (D)

Excellent time management and organisational skills. (E)

Ability to work alone and as part of a team (E)

Ability to work flexibly in accordance to the needs of the role. (E)

We will ask you to take calls, carefully store client information via Office 365 cloud storage so you must be familiar with using the Office 365/one drive cloud storage. We will require that you are able to use word, excel and outlook local to a good level and you must have good internet connections and a desk space at home is essential.

You MUST live within or very near the M25 area

Social Media Manager/SEO

Develop and implement social media strategies to increase visibility in Search engines like Google.

Create and curate compelling content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, to drive user engagement and foster brand loyalty.

Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and others to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify opportunities for optimisation.

Implement SEO best practices to improve website ranking and visibility on search engine results pages

Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify target keywords and optimise website content accordingly.

Optimise website structure, metadata, and on-page elements for improved search engine visibility and user experience.

Collaborate to develop SEO-friendly content strategies and ensure alignment with social media initiatives.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and algorithm changes in social media marketing and SEO to inform strategy and tactics.

Assist in managing social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, ad creative development, and performance tracking.

Provide occasional reports and insights on social media and SEO performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and actionable recommendations.

Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase reach our target audience.
