Position Summary

The Deli Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the deli section in the supermarket, ensuring fresh product quality, team coordination, food safety compliance, and outstanding customer service.
This position requires 3–5 years of deli supermarket experience, with strong leadership, multitasking, and customer-focused skills in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deli Operations

  • Supervise daily operations of the deli section including hot foods, cold cuts, salads, and prepared items
  • Ensure freshness, proper product rotation, food labeling, and visual merchandising
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory, ordering, and waste reduction

Staff Management

  • Train, schedule, and supervise deli team members
  • Support team development, work assignments, and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and store procedures

Sales & Customer Service

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and respond to requests professionally
  • Handle special orders, catering trays, and in-store promotions
  • Help drive deli section sales and meet performance targets

Operational Support

  • Conduct temperature checks, food safety audits, and cleanliness inspections
  • Monitor and report equipment maintenance or repair needs
  • Assist with inventory counts, vendor communication, and receiving stock

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in deli supermarket operations
  • Strong understanding of food safety, inventory management, and team supervision
  • Fluent in English communication
  • Responsible, organized, and capable of working under pressure
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays (6 days/week, 8–12 hours/day)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Work Location: In person
