Comprising three waterfront gardens Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central Gardens by the Bay will be a showcase of horticulture and garden artistry that will bring the world of plants to Singapore and present Singapore to the World. DESIGNATION : Assistant Director - Project Management (Bay East Project Office)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Gardens by the Bay comprises 3 Gardens - Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. The Bay East Project Office is set up for the planning and development of Bay East (BE), the focal point of which is the Founders' Memorial (FM).

As part of a multi-disciplinary Bay East project team, you will be project managing the development works of the surrounding infrastructure and bridge development in support of the Founders' Memorial and Bay East Garden project.

You will be responsible for fronting the project management and planning issues including liaison and resolving issues amongst agencies and stakeholders to the projects. This includes working with the relevant authorities on land and infrastructure development and coordination of BE development with the FM and surrounding infrastructural works for seamless integration and ensuring proper interfacing of all construction contract packages.

Your role involves project management and working with various stakeholders to incorporate their operational and business requirements into the project. You will also ensure proper project documentation throughout the design, execution and closing out phases, and work with consultants for timely delivery of the project. Your responsibilities will include facilitating team meetings and meetings with stakeholders, preparing minutes of meetings, executing the procurement required by the project including developing scope of work and performing tender evaluation, conducting site walks, facilitating resolution of issues on site and providing regular updates to management.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in large scale / complex development projects in the public sector, with hands-on project management and civil and structural consultancy experience
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence
  • Experience with bridge projects will be a bonus
