Embrace Community Services is an Irish, family-owned provider of support services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and acquired brain injuries. Our teams are passionate about providing a person-centred service that builds on people's strengths and interests.

We are pleased to be looking for a new Assistant Director of Services for our Adults and Childrens Services to join our existing team.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing the effective management and day to day operations of a number of designated centres within a designated area around Co. Meath and surrounding areas and Head Office in Balbriggan, ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, effective and person-centred services to meet the needs of our residents.

As a member of the Senior Management Team at Embrace Community Services, the Assistant Director of Services will be responsible for contributing to and leading the development and the achievement of set targets as set out in our strategic plans.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Appropriate third level qualification in Social Care, Nursing or equivalent
  • Relevant managerial qualification (minimum Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications)
  • A minimum of five years social care or nursing experience, of which at least three years must be at PIC or PPIM level or higher senior management experience
  • Strong knowledge and competency on relevant regulations and policy including, but not limited to, HIQA, New Directions and current best practice in the delivery of person-centred practice
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience of direct line supervision and management with well-developed people management skills
  • Experience of service development, service improvement and audits
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as may be required for the role (this may include evening and/or weekend work on an ad-hoc basis)
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car as this post will require travel
