About the Role:
CRCS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Director for our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Program. As a valued member of our OSHC team, you will experience dynamic, engaging and occasionally challenging days where no two are the same. In this role, you will provide high-quality education and care in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children. Working collaboratively with your team, you will support each child’s unique strengths, needs and interests while fostering a strong culture of safety and wellbeing. We welcome passionate professionals from OSHC, teaching, coaching or related study backgrounds who are eager to contribute their creativity and grow within a supportive, professional environment.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
Diploma in Children’s Services or a degree in Primary/Early Childhood Education
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT)
Demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of children.
Ability to build strong and sustained relationships with children, demonstrating a clear understanding of the child as a learner.
Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, Framework, and Standards.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning an OSHC program to meet the educational program and practice requirements of the Early Years Learning Framework or the My Time, Our Place Framework.
Awareness of work health and safety responsibilities under both the Work Health and Safety Law and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
A minimum Cert III qualification in an approved (ACECQA) field.

Desirable Experience

Experience in working with school-age children for 2 years.
Food Safety, Handling, and Hygiene training.

Responsibilities

In this exciting and important role you will enjoy undertaking the following responsibilities -

Lead and support the daily operations of the OSHC program in collaboration with your team
Create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment for all children
Develop and implement play-based programs that reflect children’s interests and developmental needs
Organise and facilitate a variety of indoor and outdoor activities
Set up and pack away equipment and learning spaces each day
Supervise children attentively to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
Assist with food preparation, cleaning and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team

CRCS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young children and young people. As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, we require all employees to undergo relevant screening processes, including Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) checks and National Police Checks.

CRCS also requires all employees to:
Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
