Assistant Director / Senior Assistant Director, Strategy Department, Isce2
The Programme Manager will manage the A*STAR Net Zero Nexus Sandbox, a pivotal initiative focused on driving Singapore's transition to a net-zero future. This role will oversee the entire programme lifecycle, from startup recruitment and support to ensuring the successful commercialization and scaling of cutting-edge climate technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing innovation programs, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to bridge the gap between early-stage research and commercial deployment in the energy, chemicals, and environmental sector.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management:
Oversee the design, execution, and management of ISCE2?s startup engagement programmes. Work with vendors and partners to run the programme.
Act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, including startups, corporate partners, and investors.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with A*STAR?s Innovation and Enterprise division (Venture, Creation and Growth team) to coordinate the Net Zero Nexus Sandbox.
Build and maintain relationships with investors, corporations, research experts, and governmental agencies. Develop a network of partners that can support startups working with ISCE2.
Engage startups in the energy, chemicals, and circular economy sectors to participate in the sandbox.

Programme Development:
Manage a calendar of workshops, fireside chats, and pitch sessions, connecting startups with venture capitalists and industry experts and facilitating mentor sessions.
Ensure startups are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed for technology commercialization, such as process engineering, and IP management.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or a related field. A background in sustainability or climate tech is highly preferred.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in programme management, innovation ecosystems, or startup acceleration.
Proven track record in supporting the commercialization of technologies, especially in the energy, chemicals, or biotechnology sectors.
Familiarity with Singapore's sustainability landscape and experience working with public sector agencies, corporates, and startups.
Strong communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
Ability to navigate complex technology development lifecycles, from research to commercialization.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth within the climate tech ecosystem.
