About the role
AFF is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join our team at Kooba - Bringagee Farm, located 30 minutes from Griffith, NSW.
This hands-on leadership role supports the Farm Manager in overseeing all aspects of broadacre and irrigation operations. You’ll lead by example, ensuring that the team delivers on daily and seasonal priorities safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Farm Manager in planning and delivering operational programs.
Leading daily farm activities, including irrigation, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
Providing direction, supervision, and mentoring to farm employees and contractors.
Maintaining strong WHS leadership through safety meetings, compliance checks, and culture building.
Monitoring equipment, infrastructure, and crop health, reporting issues promptly.
Upholding AFF’s values and ensuring operational excellence.

You’re a capable and confident agricultural professional who thrives in a leadership role. You’re organised, safety-focused, and take pride in producing quality results while fostering teamwork.

Skills and experience include:
Demonstrated experience in broadacre or irrigated farming operations.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A proactive approach to WHS and operational improvement.
A current driver’s licence (essential).
