About the Role

Australian Food & Fibre is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to join our team at Togo Station, Narrabri, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced Farm Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day management of a large-scale cotton and broadacre cropping operation.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will support the Farm Manager across all areas of farm operations while helping to ensure the site meets its production, safety and operational goals. You will assist in coordinating daily activities, supervising team members, and ensuring operational plans are delivered efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the Farm Manager with the planning and execution of day-to-day farm operations.
  • Leading safety on site, including running toolbox talks and promoting a strong WHS culture.
  • Executing operational plans with a high level of independence while maintaining clear communication with the Farm Manager.
  • Supervising and supporting farm staff to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinating cropping and irrigation activities as directed.
  • Managing farm infrastructure, machinery and equipment.
  • Monitoring compliance with environmental and operational standards.
  • Maintaining accurate operational records and reporting on farm performance.
Skills and Experiences:
About You

You are a motivated and capable agricultural professional who enjoys taking ownership of your work and supporting a productive farm environment. You're comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on role and are keen to develop your leadership skills within a large-scale farming operation.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
  • Experience in irrigated cotton or broadacre cropping operations.
  • Practical exposure to crop production, irrigation and machinery operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to support and guide team members.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with farm management direction.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to safety and risk management.
