We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily restaurant operations and help lead our team through high-volume service periods and event-driven rushes.

The Role

The Assistant General Manager works alongside the General Manager to oversee restaurant operations before, during, and after events. This role is hands-on and requires a confident leader who can manage staff, maintain service standards, and adapt quickly in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of restaurant operations during regular service and live events
• Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate front- and back-of-house staff
• Assist with event execution, crowd flow, and service timing
• Ensure food safety, liquor service, and facility policies are followed
• Help manage inventory, ordering, labour, and cost controls
• Address guest concerns quickly and professionally
• Step into a leadership role during peak service or in the GM’s absence

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience required
• Experience in high-volume, event-based, or fast-paced environments strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and decisive during peak rushes
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event days
• Valid food safety and liquor service certification (or willingness to obtain)
