Assistant Manager, Curriculum [Lkcmedicine]

The Assistant Manager, Curriculum will work closely with the School Leads, different teams within the department and the various education offices in the healthcare training institutions to ensure seamless coordination in curriculum delivery on campus and in clinical posting training sites.
Responsibilities:
Year 3 curriculum – Campus Teaching Weeks, Enhanced Campus Based Learning and Clinical Postings
- Plan timetable, provide logistical and administrative support for sessions scheduled in the Year 3 Campus Teaching Weeks (CTW) and Year 3 Enhanced Campus Based Learning (ECBL) weeks for Short Postings
- Confirm content experts for sessions scheduled in CTWs and ECBLs
- For sessions with Simulated Patients (SPs) involvement, confirm scenarios with Leads and send SP recruitment
- Confirm preparation materials with content expects and upload materials on various online platforms
- For sessions which require task trainers, equipment and/or consumables, confirm scenarios and requirements with Leads and liaise with Office of Medical Education and Science & Anatomy Laboratories staff to set up the classroom before the teaching session
- Format, upload and send Student Guides (Year 3) to the Leads, education offices and students
- Create learning events for the whole academic year in Elentra, including the attendance taking learning events
- Coordinate with hospital education offices (EDOs) to arrange Short Postings clinical postings of students

- For sessions which require task trainers, equipment and/or consumables, confirm scenarios and requirements with Leads and liaise with Office of Medical Education and Science & Anatomy Laboratories staff to set up the classroom before the teaching session
- Confirm preparation materials with Leads and upload materials on various online platforms
- Provide logistical support for combined teaching sessions in Short Postings
Pre-employment Clinical Training (PECT) Billing
- To calculate billing amount using the student numbers and PECT norm rates for all healthcare institution (HCI)s that our students are posted to for Year 3 clinical postings at the end of each quarter
- To take into consideration the PECT teaching sessions which are held on campus and remove the PECT – Operating cost (OOE) portion in the billing
- To prepare the quarterly billing spreadsheets for Year 3 ECBL and Short Postings Clinical Postings
- Verify PECT billing against PECT accrual tracking sheet
Sessional Teaching Billing
- Remove the residents from the sessional teaching billing spreadsheet. Send MOHH Declaration of Participation in External Activities form to residents who are working outside of their official office hours. Prepare timesheets for these residents.
- Prepare attendance sheets for all residents to sign before teaching session. Send endorsed attendance sheets and timesheets (if any) to the Clinical Affairs team for tracking.
- Prepare Year 3 CTW Sessional Teaching quarterly billing spreadsheets
Analyse existing data on current postings and placements to project for future academic years
- Use past and current student numbers and number of healthcare institutions to analyse and project for future clinical postings.
- Work with Assistant Dean of the year and Principal Leads to confirm the projected student numbers and placements in HCIs
Involvement in the MOH National coordination of clinical postings
- Propose projected student numbers per HCI based on the analysis done in the planning and coordination of the MOH National coordination of clinical postings
- Coordinate with HODs of various departments in the HCIs and EDOs to finalise the students number
Contribute to the Curriculum team
- Oversee (rostered schedule) room booking for teaching facilities in Eco Book, including deconflicting bookings with other team members, units and departments
- Assist in events organised by the team and department
Requirements
- A good University degree in any discipline
- Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in the education and/or healthcare sector
- Experience in scheduling management
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Positive working attitude and enjoy working with students
- A good team player who takes initiative and is resourceful
- Able to work independently under time pressure and changing deadlines/priorities in a dynamic environment
- Able to multi-task and work on different portfolios and projects simultaneously
