Purpose and Scope
This is for a 2-year Assistant Manager Contract position.
This role resides in the General Ledger Team, under Finance Shared Services, reporting to the Senior Manager, GLSS. Ensure timely & accurate closing of monthly & yearly accounts in accordance with Group Policy, SFRS and regulatory requirements for a list of intermediate holding and active operating companies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, monitor and review the work performed by GL Executive
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation financial and statutory reports (e.g. monthly P&L, NAS, IPT, statistics etc.)
- Review and post journals parked by GL Executive into SAP
- Ensure timely submission of monthly accounts to Group consolidation system
- Review monthly audit schedules and ensure regular clearing of balance sheet items
- Review monthly bank reconciliation
- Handle year end audit including annual report preparation, audit queries, XBRL and other audit related matter
- Timely and accurate preparation of corporate tax computation and schedules
- Review GST reporting prepare by GL Executive. Ensure correct GST treatment and timely submission to IRAS
- Review and approve e-capex form for asset requisition, write-off, disposal and transfer accordingly to the relevant SOP
- Review and ensure accurate Fixed Asset reconciliation and reporting
- Review and monitor project tracking and ensure timely and accurate capitalisation of project
- Review inventory reconciliation
- Participate in digital transformation and continuous improvement initiative as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Degree in accounting or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity
- Good knowledge of SFRS and statutory requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fast learner and proactive with strong problem solving and execution capability
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, meeting tight deadlines
- A collaborative team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and keen to learn new digital skills
