Assistant Manager, International Mobility
Job Description:


Being a part of Schneider Electric International Mobility Centre (IMC) in Singapore, you will be responsible for all aspects of the assignment management program, including assignee relationship, vendor management, global processes, technology and operational service delivery. The IMC in Singapore reports to the APAC IMC Senior Manager.


The Role:


You'll be responsible for the following:


  • End to end service delivery for all levels of assignees within the region, providing a high touch, personalized service
  • Proactively working with assignees and partners to ensure that the delivery of the service runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Acting as an expert for HRBP's and other key stakeholders on global mobility issues in the designated region
  • Counselling HRBP’s on IMC policies, application of policies and cross border compliance issues
  • Making pragmatic and efficient decisions around policy application - balancing both business needs and global governance and escalating when needed.
  • Managing policy exceptions within the APAC exception management framework
  • Accountable for overall client and user satisfaction for the population of assignees, ensuring that IMC service delivery meets key metrics (measuring vendor performance, assignee’s satisfaction survey)
  • Responsible for ensuring that services provided are efficient and transparent to provide a seamless service for individuals based within their region
  • Innovate and accelerate digital transformation of IMC and talent mobility related topics
  • Technical expert on tax, equity, immigration, social security and payroll compliance for countries in the designated region including HR issues and Employment Law, Benefits and Statutory entitlements
  • Animating the network internal stake holders like HR Shared Services, Finance, Procurement, Rewards, Legal etc., to have solid collaboration in the region
  • Prepare and authorize Cost Estimates, Compensation Statements, Assignment Documentation, Policy Exceptions (within approval limits) ensuring correct approval process
  • Identifying and discussing policy and process improvements.
  • Arranging mobility training workshops to relevant stakeholders.
  • Involvement in various global mobility projects and coordination at a regional/global level.
Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or assignment management issues. Applicants with additional technical knowledge in the areas of employment law, tax, social security, payroll compliance and vendor management would be desirable.

  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in international assignment management.
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline preferred
  • Possess excellent client service and relationship management skills to engage top management and work with stakeholders from different cultural background
  • Possess good organization, planning and analytical skills, and the ability to manage several initiatives simultaneously
  • Customer oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Meticulous and detail oriented
  • Data driven digital mindset
