Assistant Manager / Manager, Marketing (Media Industry Cluster)
Are you passionate about growing Singapore’s media industry and driving international opportunities for local talent and content? The Media Industry Group (MIG) at the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) is looking for a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager / Manager to join our Business Development & Marketing team. In this role, you will support marketing initiatives, industry outreach, and business development efforts to strengthen Singapore’s presence in international media markets.

Event Management and Business Development

  • Support Industry Events – Assist in planning and executing Singapore’s participation at key international trade shows, festivals, and networking events to boost industry visibility and engagement.
  • Business Development Support – Help identify potential partners, distributors, and platforms to expand Singapore’s media reach globally. Competitor analysis, and emerging opportunities to inform marketing and business development strategies.
  • Partnership Outreach – Support outreach efforts to build connections with international screen agencies, distributors, and streaming platforms.
  • Assist in Funding and Grant Initiatives – Help manage marketing-related funding support schemes, ensuring effective implementation and impact measurement.
  • Project Coordination – Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects, staying on top of timelines and deliverables.Marketing, Branding & Communications
  • Support Marketing and Communications – Assist in the marketing, branding, and stakeholder engagement efforts for the Singapore Media Festival (SMF) and key international industry events, ensuring alignment with IMDA’s strategic goals.
  • Brand Implementation – Work closely with branding agencies to execute brand strategies, positioning, and content creation to grow brand equity for Singapore’s media industry.
  • Develop Marketing Collateral – Assist in developing B2B marketing materials to promote Singapore’s media content and talent at local and international markets.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency – Support the execution of brand messaging across digital, social media, and physical platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Execute Marketing Campaigns – Implement targeted B2B marketing initiatives to promote Singapore’s media sector globally. Content Promotion – Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing assets, including brochures, presentations, and digital content to showcase Singapore’s media offerings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work with internal teams, agencies, and industry partners to align marketing strategies with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Industry Experience – 3–6 years of experience in marketing, business development, partnerships, or sales within the media, entertainment, or related industries.
  • Marketing & Branding Knowledge – Understanding of brand positioning, content marketing, and digital marketing strategies to support industry engagement and growth.
  • Agencies Management Experience - Ability to oversee and manage Creative and Marketing Agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns that align with brand and conversion objectives.
  • Business Development Mindset – Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership outreach, and market research to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Event Coordination Experience – Ability to support large-scale events, industry forums, and trade delegations.
  • Manage Budget - Ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet marketing goals within budget.
  • Project Management Skills – Strong ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing materials and business proposals.
  • Data-Driven Approach – Analytical mindset with the ability to track marketing performance metrics and derive insights for continuous improvement. Knowledge in Google Analytics or other similar tracking platforms would be an advantage.
  • Adaptability & Proactiveness – A team player who can take initiative, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
