Assistant Manager - Room Leader job opportunity

Our beautiful 80 place Hillarys service is looking for a passionate and dedicated 2IC / Lead educator to join our team. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and are passionate about delivering contemporary educational practices for our children, educators, and families.

As an integral leader in our nest, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team in delivering both high quality education and care as well as exceptional customer service for our children, families and community.

The Assistant Manager role is a unique leadership opportunity, as we introduce this for the first time within our Nido services. You will be able to have influence on how this role is shaped, working with our existing leadership triangle consisting of a Service Manager, Curriculum Leader and Service Administrator. The successful applicant will split their week in both a contact and non-contact capacity to provide in the moment coaching to the team, as well as managerial support to the leadership team ensuring smooth operation of the service.

This collaborative approach ensures that we all work together to deliver excellent educational practices to our children while creating an environment where you will rise and flourish.

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

Opened in 2020 with exceptional resources
Caters for children from 6 weeks to five years old across 5 rooms and 2 stunning outdoor play areas
Opening hours of the service are - 6:30am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday
Strong management team to coach and guide you through your career
Utilise the Story Park platform, enriching our communication with families about their child's development and fostering a sense of active participation.

ABOUT YOU:

Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent or working towards (essential)
In-depth experience in leading a team within a childcare service
Strong communication and time-management skills
A valid Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
Contribute to exceeding outcomes for children and Educators
