We take pride in creating memorable experiences for our patrons, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team.

As an Assistant Manager at The Oval Bar, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our establishment. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the bar, provide excellent customer service, and create a positive and fun environment for both guests and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and is eager to contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Supervising and mentoring bar and floor staff.
  • Managing inventory, including ordering and stock control.
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues effectively.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to create and implement promotions and special events.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handling cash and financial transactions accurately.
  • Supporting the development and training of staff members.
  • Performing other duties as required to contribute to the overall success of the bar.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry in Ireland.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of bar and restaurant operations.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
