Brief Introduction

The Louis Fitzgerald Group is seeking experienced and motivated Assistant Managers to join our busy pubs across Dublin West and South Dublin. As one of Ireland’s largest privately owned hospitality groups, with a strong collection of pubs, restaurants and hotels, the Group is known for warm Irish hospitality, quality service and well-run venues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who is ready to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of a high-volume pub, lead a strong team, and help deliver excellent customer experiences.

The role is suited to someone with strong bar, food and floor experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to grow within a successful hospitality group.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for:

• Supporting the General Manager in the daily operation of the pub.
• Leading the team during busy services across bar, food and floor operations.
• Maintaining excellent standards of customer service, cleanliness, presentation and atmosphere.
• Assisting with staff training, onboarding and development.
• Supporting rosters, breaks, labour control and daily shift planning.
• Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally.
• Monitoring stock levels, ordering, deliveries and stock control procedures.
• Helping drive sales, service standards and overall venue performance.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety, licensing and company procedures.
• Managing cash handling, tills, end-of-day procedures and reporting where required.
• Supporting promotions, events, match days, parties and local trade initiatives.

You will be confident, reliable and enthusiastic, with a natural ability to lead from the floor. You will take pride in delivering great service, supporting your team and helping the General Manager run a smooth, efficient and successful pub.

About The Role

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, Bar Manager, Floor Manager or Senior Supervisor in a busy pub, bar, restaurant or hotel environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work across all areas of the business.
• Good understanding of rosters, stock control, cash handling and daily operations.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume venue.
• Knowledge of health and safety, food safety and licensing standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering high standards.
