Position Description:

The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in undergraduate biology teaching. The position will deliver a variety of courses in the Integrative Biology curriculum, ranging in size (~1500 students), year level (e.g. BIOL*1070 Discovering Biodiversity), and discipline (ecology, comparative physiology, evolution) depending on the operational needs of the department and expertise of the successful candidate.

A Ph.D. in one of the Department of Integrative Biology pillars (ecology, evolution, animal physiology) and relevant experience and demonstrated success in teaching across a range of formats will be required, along with evidence of strong potential for developing course material and curricular innovation. A successful candidate will also demonstrate their commitment to advancing EDI, accessibility, and inclusion of diverse knowledge systems in classes and course materials.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop course materials and teach an equivalent of up to 5 courses in the current curriculum per academic year across a range of sizes and learning styles.
