The PM ASSISTANT SERVER is responsible to provide support to the restaurant service staff to maintain proper flow of guest service and optimal appearance of the dining room.
The expected base wage range for this position is: $16 per hour, or other minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company's policies, as they may be amended from time to time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:
- To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- To promptly and efficiently perform routine support services in the restaurant, including setting up dining room and patios; clearing and resetting tables between courses and after meals; providing guests with water, condiments and dishes, as requested; and serving all beverages, as ordered.
- To ensure an adequate supply of clean, presentable linens, silverware, china and glassware and other accessories are prepared for the meal service and available at the bus station.
- To satisfactorily perform all closing duties daily, as directed.
- To dispose of broken glass and sharp objects, etc., in appropriate containers.
- To carefully and safely set used silverware, china, glassware, organic and recyclable trash in appropriate racks and bins.
- To preserve and minimize breakage of china and glassware.
- To properly set-up umbrellas and heaters and report any maintenance or visual issues.
QUALIFICATIONS: Able to read, write, and speak basic English well enough to understand directions and guest requests. Must have at least one year of experience. Hotel restaurant experience preferred. A valid food handlers card must be timely obtained upon hire and maintained in good standing, which time and expense may be compensable.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous and friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks short distances throughout shift. Constantly required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over short to moderate distances. Bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, pulls, kneels, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Must be able to work under pressure. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing 200 lbs. to 400 lbs. using appropriate hand trucks and carts. Fast-paced work environment. Guest facing position that may handle conflict and/or encounter individuals who may be upset and emotional at times.
TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work.
REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely. The candidate must be able to work in-person during normal business hours.
