Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing service requests and ensuring a smooth workflow in the shop. A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes is essential, along with excellent communication skills to facilitate customer interactions and upselling opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs, providing expert advice on maintenance and repair options.
• Create detailed service orders and communicate effectively with technicians regarding customer requests.
• Manage the scheduling of appointments to optimize shop workflow and ensure timely service delivery.
• Provide accurate estimates for services and repairs, including upselling additional services as appropriate.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, service history, and transactions in the management system.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate processing of payments.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and services to provide informed recommendations.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, including diesel engine repair, tire service, auto body repair, and general automotive service.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
• Experience with cash handling and processing payments accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
