We're currently seeking an ambitious and passionate Assistant Store Business Manager to join our team at Macquarie Centre.

The Opportunity

This is more than a retail management role.

Working alongside your Store Business Manager, you'll play a key role in leading a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales performance, and creating a culture where people thrive.

You'll be a hands-on leader who leads from the front, coaches with purpose, and inspires your team to achieve outstanding results.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Development

• Support the Store Business Manager in leading and developing a high-performing team
• Coach and mentor team members to maximise performance and customer engagement
• Drive a positive, collaborative and customer-focused culture
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and team development

Customer Experience

• Deliver exceptional styling and service experiences
• Build genuine customer relationships that drive loyalty and repeat business
• Lead by example on the sales floor and inspire your team to do the same
• Ensure every customer interaction reflects the M.J. Bale brand

Commercial Performance

• Support the achievement of sales budgets, KPIs and productivity targets
• Analyse store performance and identify opportunities for growth
• Drive conversion, average transaction value and customer retention
• Execute promotional activity and sales initiatives

Store Operations

• Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained
• Support stock management, inventory control and loss prevention
• Maintain operational excellence across all areas of the business
• Act as Store Manager in their absence

Skills and Experiences:
About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• A natural leader with previous retail leadership experience
• Passionate about fashion, styling and delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of driving retail performance
• Motivated by coaching and developing others
• Organised, adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Looking to build a long-term retail management career

Menswear experience is highly regarded but not essential.
