Position: Assistant Store Manager

Reports to: Store Manager

Compensation: Base salary + commission + bonus

Summary

SHOE PER is an independently owned family footwear store that carries current brands and styles for men women and children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales performance, customer satisfaction, and staff training and development. You will work to foster client loyalty and expand our brand presence. The ideal candidate will spearhead these efforts with a customer-centric attitude.

The assistant manager will support the store manager with all aspects of store performance through sales management, operational and personnel functions, as well as store visual aesthetics and environment. Responsible for the successful management of the store in the absence of the store manager. This position requires your presence to be physically in the store therefore you must live within a reasonable distance to the physical store.

Working conditions:

  • Full time
  • 37.5 + hours / week (excludes 30 minute lunch breaks)
  • Hours may include evenings and / or weekends
  • Overtime as required.

  • Completion of a University degree or College diploma preferred
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of retail management experience
  • Proficient spoken and written English,

  • Punctual, meticulous, presentable and reliable
  • Courteous with staff and the public
  • Strong computer skills (Gmail, Calendars, Excel, Word)
  • Access to car / Drivers License
  • Some lifting 10 – 30 lbs.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
