About Us

King Communications, a leading Vodafone partner with 24 retail stores across Ireland, is continuing to grow and expand. We are seeking an ambitious, customer-focused, and results-driven Assistant Manager to join our team in the Vodafone Store, Navan Shopping Centre.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the business, driving sales performance, developing team members, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in achieving commercial objectives, leading the team, and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the store. You will lead by example on the sales floor, inspire your colleagues to achieve their targets, and create a positive and high-performing environment for both customers and team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in the daily operation of the Vodafone retail store.
  • Drive store sales performance and assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach team members to maximise individual and team performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service standards and ensure every customer has a positive experience.
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and continuous development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans to improve results.
  • Oversee administrative processes including customer contracts, payments, repairs, insurance requests, and reporting.
  • Support stock management, inventory control, merchandising, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail supervisory, team leader, or assistant management role.
  • Strong sales background with a proven track record of achieving targets and driving team performance.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in telecommunications, technology, or consumer electronics retail is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.
