About the Role
Located in the heart of Southbank, Asado is a premium Argentinian-inspired grill restaurant known for its wood-fired cooking, vibrant atmosphere and high-energy service. Part of The San Telmo Group, Asado combines premium produce, bold South American flavours and a fast-paced CBD dining environment with strong opportunities for career development. The Assistant Restaurant Manager role involves supporting the Restaurant Manager with daily venue operations, leading service from the floor, developing FOH staff and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational & financial standards.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Asado, your day-to-day will involve:
  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue
  • Taking responsibility for the recruitment, onboarding and training of all FOH staff
  • Running pre-service briefs, tastings and ongoing product knowledge training
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences and managing feedback professionally
  • Driving team performance through coaching, development and real-time feedback
  • Collaborating closely with kitchen and bar teams to maintain seamless service flow
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a FOH leadership role within a fast-paced, premium restaurant
  • Demonstrated ability to build, train, lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and sound decision-making under pressure
  • Full working rights in Australia (no restrictions)
  • Team-first mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality and leadership
