Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Customs Entry Writer to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs documentation to facilitate the smooth import and export of goods across international borders. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA regulations and OSHA standards, while supporting the overall supply chain efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to risk management, regulatory reporting, and compliance management within a fast-paced transportation environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and review customs entries, ensuring all documentation aligns with regulatory requirements such as FDA regulations and freight standards
  • Collaborate with freight carriers, suppliers, and customs authorities to facilitate timely clearance of shipments
  • Maintain detailed records of customs transactions, including report writing and regulatory reporting for audit purposes
  • Monitor shipment statuses and coordinate transportation management activities to optimize delivery schedules
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and other regulatory guidelines during all customs-related processes
  • Assist in risk management initiatives by identifying potential compliance issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Support supply chain operations by providing accurate documentation for freight movement and fleet management activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer
  • Knowledge of CPSC and FDA regulations, and international trade compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of freight operations, transportation management, and fleet management principles
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy in regulatory reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and government agencies
  • Prior experience with risk management strategies and compliance management practices is preferred
