Associate Director, Data Analyst – Job Overview

The Associate Director, Data Analyst plays a strategic role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of data that powers client solutions. This leadership position oversees the HCN DataOps team’s data operations and delivery functions, while driving collaboration across sales, account management, and product teams to meet client needs. The ideal candidate combines advanced technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure all data deliverables meet quality standards through rigorous validation and QA processes.
  • Manage and prioritize complex ad-hoc data requests with precision and timeliness.
  • Partner with internal teams (sales, account management, product) to clarify requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client expectations.
  • Communicate technical findings in clear, non-technical language for business stakeholders.
  • Identify patterns in incoming requests to recommend automation and self-service solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to scope and implement process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the data ecosystem for supported products and guide team development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
8+ years in data-related roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership or cross-functional capacity. Proven experience in data operations, delivery processes, and stakeholder engagement.

Skills:

  • Strong SQL and data manipulation skills; familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Leadership mindset with a focus on team development, continuous improvement, and innovation.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $84,400.00 - $235,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
