Job Description


As the Associate Director Patient Access, you will play an important role in ensuring that patients have timely and sustainable access to Sobi’s therapies in the Nordic and Baltic regions. This includes leading the development and execution of patient access strategies, engaging with key stakeholders, and navigating complex regulatory and reimbursement landscapes for an innovative launching product within nephrology. In this position lies also a responsibility to support the Nordic & Baltic Medical Team in relevant Therapeutic area depending on the Sobi portfolio development.

The role is a single contributor role with no direct reports reporting to our Director Patient Access Nordics & Baltics. You can live in Sweden, Norway or Denmark and will have the flexibility to work remotely.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of patient access strategies for Sobi products across the Nordic and Baltic regions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at both local and global levels to ensure that strategic objectives align and drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Build and deepen relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, health authorities, patient advocacy groups, and others, to foster a supportive environment for patient access initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of market access landscapes, analyze reimbursement trends, and stay ahead of evolving health policy developments. Utilize these insights to inform strategic decisions and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Design and implement creative, practical solutions to overcome barriers to access, with an emphasis on addressing the unique challenges faced by patients with rare diseases. Prioritize ethical and sustainable practices that support long-term success.
  • Collaboration with local medical team also a responsibility to support the Nordic & Baltic Medical Scientific Managers in the respective therapeutic area.

Qualifications


We are seeking a dynamic, passionate individual who embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation, with a keen focus on driving patient access in rare diseases and value-based outcomes. Our ideal candidate is not only deeply invested in creating sustainable, mutually beneficial solutions but approaches each challenge with a win-win mindset for all stakeholders. We do require that you have a master’s degree in life sciences, health economics, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).

You will thrive in both local and global arenas, seamlessly implementing strategies that prioritize patients and customers. Build bridges with diverse groups, including payers, decision-makers, patient advocacy organizations, regulatory authorities, and other key influencers. Your communication and relationship-building skills will empower them to cultivate trust, respect, and partnership at every level.


Key Responsibilities

  • Master’s degree in life-science, healthcare or health economics
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience working within pricing and patient access environments managing global brand pricing and strategy, either from similar positions in the pharmaceutical (preferred) or consultancy environment
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in pricing, reimbursement and patient access for pharmaceutical products, preferably for rare diseases
  • Strong understanding of the different methods of economic evaluation
  • Understands study designs that produce clinically and economically relevant data for stakeholders
  • Experience with launching products in a rare disease area
  • Experience from nephrology therapeutic area (preferred)
