About the Role
Are you ready to shape the residential experience for over 600 students from across Victoria, Australia, and the globe? Swinburne University is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as Associate Director, Student Residential Services.
Based at our vibrant Hawthorn campus, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, inclusive, and engaging on-campus accommodation. You’ll drive strategic planning, oversee capital development, and ensure compliance with national standards—all while fostering a safe, respectful, and empowering community for our residents.
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership and relationship management skills, a passion for student wellbeing, and a proven track record in managing complex incidents and residential services. About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated management experience and strong leadership skills and service delivery in a related industry, preferable in student and/or residential services
- Demonstrated ability to manage critical and complex incidents and has strong problem-solving skills.
- A strong passion, understanding and empathetic on the personal and academic needs of tertiary students.
- Proven ability to manage teams to maintain compliance with legislative and accreditation requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with stakeholders and contractors.
Qualifications
- Degree (and/or postgrad) qualifications in a relevant field such as property management, commerce or social services and relevant experience in providing student services and/or accommodation / property services, or equivalent.
