Corporate Associate | Coal Harbour Law

Coal Harbour Law is growing, and we’re looking for a corporate associate (3–5 year call) to join our team.

This role is ideal for a lawyer with a solid foundation in corporate law who’s ready to take on more responsibility, work directly with clients, and play a meaningful role in transactions. You’ll be involved in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, with the opportunity to take ownership of files while continuing to learn from experienced practitioners.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and assist on a variety of corporate and commercial matters
• Draft and review contracts, shareholder agreements, and corporate documents
• Support and lead components of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and reorganizations
• Conduct due diligence and coordinate closings
• Advise clients on general corporate matters and ongoing business needs
• Work directly with entrepreneurs, owner-operators, and growing businesses
• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers while building increasing independence

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate/commercial law (BC call preferred)
• Experience with M&A, corporate structuring, and/or commercial agreements
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage files and communicate effectively with clients
• A practical, business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving
• A team-oriented mindset and interest in long-term growth
