Job Description
As an Associate Product Specialist at Anton Paar Canada, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support to existing customers and team members. You will be part of our Measurement team responsible for promoting and driving the sales of Anton Paar's innovative scientific instruments and solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of the company's product portfolio, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Provides customers with technical assistance on the proper use of proprietary hardware and software for our Measurement product lines, including density meters, viscometers, refractometers, gas analysis, process instrumentation, etc.
- Assists our Product Specialists with technical inquiries, documentation, samples processing, demonstration instrument management and process improvements.
- Supports lab activities such organizing and maintaining laboratory space, inventory, and supplies.
- Assists in developing sales aids and promotional materials, such as application notes and reports.
- Maintains the highest level of knowledge of company products and services.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing initiatives, including events, webinars, and newsletters.
- Represents company at trade shows and expositions.
- Up to 10% travel may be required (training, seminars, workshops)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Applied Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in technical support, product management is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French (knowledge of English is required for this position, as the employee will be supporting English-speaking employees and customers throughout Canada).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Have the authorization to work in Canada.
- Have the ability to travel internationally for training (mainly Europe and US).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of scientific instruments and laboratory equipment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
