Athens Township Highway Department Position

The Athens Township Public Works Department is currently hiring. We are seeking a Machine / Equipment Operator with Class A or B CDL license and relevant road maintenance experience. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, well-rounded and able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions. To be qualified, you must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., be available for overtime and off-hours work and able to operate a variety of equipment. Pay rate dependent upon experience, great benefits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commitment, common sense, a team attitude, and a focus on safety
• Willingness to listen, learn and work hard
• Must have a clean driver’s license
• CDL A or B

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Special Requirements:

• Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment background check, driver license check and drug testing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, maintain physical activity for extended periods of time in a variety of environments, indoors and outside, including during inclement weather.

Job Types: Full-Time

Pay is based on experience.
