Audio Visual Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking seeking an Audio Visual Technician to support the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM). This full-time, onsite position plays a crucial role in supporting the Museum's mission by managing and enhancing the Museum's audio-visual operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment to support Museum events and programs.

Work Schedule:

  • Four weekdays and one weekend day.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend work with advance notice.
  • Total of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of AV technology in exhibits.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of projectors, monitors, and other AV equipment.
  • Set up and support meetings, presentations, video conferencing, and special events.
  • Operate and manage audio and video systems in Museum theaters, including live-streaming and recording.
  • Assist with the planning and installation of AV systems for new exhibits.
  • Occasionally travel to offsite and out-of-town locations as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with audio visual systems integration or service.
  • Certified Technology Specialsit (CTS) certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience operating video switchers (SDI, NDI) and mixing live sound with digital mixing consoles.
  • Ability to act as a technical lead for special events and support hybrid video conferences.
  • Experience with live events, configuring/troubleshooting audio DSPs (Biamp/QSC/Clearone), and Dante/AVOIP is a plus.
