Job Description: Audit Assistant
Position: Audit Assistant
Department: Audit & Assurance
Location: Guwahati
Reports to: Audit Senior / Audit Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Assistant to join our dynamic team. The primary role involves supporting the audit team in conducting various stages of financial and operational audits for our clients. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position requires extensive travel to client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Execution: Assist in performing audit procedures, including testing of internal controls, substantive testing of transactions, and verification of account balances.
Documentation: Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive working papers that document the audit procedures performed and conclusions reached.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial statements and other client data to identify potential risks, anomalies, or areas for improvement.
Report Writing: Draft sections of the audit report and other client communications, ensuring all findings are accurately and professionally presented.
Client Interaction: Interact with client personnel to obtain necessary information and documentation, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Team Support: Provide general support to the audit team, including administrative tasks related to audit engagements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
B.Com/M.Com 0-2 years of experience in an audit role in CA Firm (including internships). Fresher B.Com/M.Com graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
Excellent Report Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to produce clear, logical, and well-structured written work.
Willingness and Ability for Extensive Travel: This role requires approximately 50% travel to various client locations, sometimes with short notice. A valid driver's license is preferred.
Strong Work Ethic and Pressure Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work under the pressure of an audit cycle.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
