To ensure optimum customer service, we’re hiring a Parts Advisor to join our team. The candidate we are looking for is a team player, customer driven, reliable, organized, and professional.

A parts advisor plays a crucial role in managing the inventory and distribution of automotive parts. The parts advisor also supports the dealership's sales and service operations by providing excellent customer service, managing inventory effectively, and ensuring the availability of parts to meet customer demands.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recommends related parts that are needed
  • Ensures necessary parts are available
  • Assisting customers in identifying the correct parts for their vehicles, answering inquiries about availability, pricing, and compatibility, and providing recommendations when necessary
  • Informs customers when special order parts have arrived
  • Processing parts orders from customers, whether they are walk-in customers, or over the phone.
  • Responds with a sense of urgency to requests for emergency parts
  • Maintains tight control over parts inventory to increase efficiency and eliminate customer delays
  • Help with perpetual inventory processes, be available for Yearly inventory count.
  • Pricing and Quoting: Providing accurate pricing information to customers and generating price quotes for parts and accessories. This may involve consulting pricing databases or dealership guidelines to determine appropriate pricing
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other departments within the dealership, such as the service department, to ensure smooth coordination of parts orders and timely completion of repairs
  • Ensure that customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern and according to the dealership’s guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, ask questions to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner
  • Understand the customer service measurements used within the brand network
  • Encourage the sale of branded parts
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times

Physical and Work Demands: The physical and work demands listed below are representative of the demands required to perform the primary duties and responsibilities of the job successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable the Parts Advisor to perform the primary duties and responsibilities.

Physical:

  • Moving throughout the Parts Department
  • Using a computer to look up information and write up orders
  • Standing six to eight hours during a shift
  • Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
  • Using equipment consistent with industry standards
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Noise
  • Paint
  • Dust
  • Exhaust fumes
  • Other hazardous and non-hazardous materials

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
