Automation Architect

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Warehouse Management System Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of next-generation automated warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced technologies, streamline operations, and drive the evolution of robotics and automation in our warehouse systems.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather user requirements and architect cutting-edge automated robotics warehouse solutions.
• Design and integrate user-facing and back-end architectures, ensuring seamless interaction between applications and server-side logic.
• Enhance functionality of existing systems by assessing and prioritizing feature requests and implementing improvements.
• Apply advanced technologies such as automation, robotics integration, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and computer vision.
• Develop scalable and efficient applications using Python, Web GUIs, and APIs, emphasizing low latency and high availability.
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement robust security protocols and data protection measures.
• Manage and accommodate modern data storage solutions, including SQLite, Oracle, JSON, and MongoDB, while ensuring backup, recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and future-proof applications to support evolving business needs.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic:

• Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture.

Experience, knowledge & attribute:

• Proven experience in architecting and implementing large-scale automated warehouse management systems.
• Proficiency in Python, web development (GUI and API), and modern software development practices.
• Expertise in robotics integration, automation, AI, deep learning, and computer vision.
• Strong knowledge of system security, data protection, and modern database solutions (SQLite, Oracle, JSON, MongoDB).
• Experience in testing, debugging, and optimizing applications for performance and reliability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage feature requests effectively.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
