We have a full-time career opportunity for an Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our team. If you have prior automotive dealership accounting experience, you might be the person we're looking for. Come and grow with us!
Overview:
An effective automotive accounting clerk has good knowledge of accounting principles. They must be organized professionals with a great eye for detail. They must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments (checks)
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements
- Generate and send customer invoices
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies with customers
- Prepare aging reports and support collections efforts
- Reconcile accounts receivable and cash receipts
- Collect, count, and verify daily cash and check receipts
- Prepare and complete daily bank deposits
- Reconcile cash totals with sales reports and receipts
- Process biweekly payroll for employees, as required
- Verify timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data, as required
- Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits, as required
- Issue ROE's as required
Requirements:
- Previous automotive dealership and PBS experience required.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
- Familiarity with invoicing and payment processes in the automotive industry is required
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a demonstrated ability to efficiently process high volumes of invoices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling you to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for seamless collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter & eager to learn.
- 2 -5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
