Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Automotive Master Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your deep understanding of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and advanced diagnostics will drive your success as you deliver top-tier service on both gasoline and diesel engines. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering components.
- Conduct complex repairs on powertrains, diesel engines, and ADAS features such as lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems with precision.
- Execute wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance services, and component replacements using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating for repairs while ensuring transparency with customers.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Stay current with industry advancements in automotive technology, including GM vehicle systems and welding techniques for structural repairs.
- Support team members by sharing technical knowledge on automotive electrical systems, transmissions, or diesel engine repair as needed.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background as a certified automotive technician is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience working with ADAS technologies and advanced driver assistance features.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, especially GM vehicles if applicable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for comprehensive vehicle repair.
- Service technician experience involving auto estimating processes and customer service interactions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair techniques and maintenance procedures for both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Ability to work efficiently on transmissions, powertrain components, wheel alignments, and general vehicle maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards.
