Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering components.
• Conduct complex repairs on powertrains, diesel engines, and ADAS features such as lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation systems.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems with precision.
• Execute wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance services, and component replacements using hand tools and power tools.
• Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating for repairs while ensuring transparency with customers.
• Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Stay current with industry advancements in automotive technology, including GM vehicle systems and welding techniques for structural repairs.
• Support team members by sharing technical knowledge on automotive electrical systems, transmissions, or diesel engine repair as needed.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or extensive background as a certified automotive technician is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience working with ADAS technologies and advanced driver assistance features.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, especially GM vehicles if applicable.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for comprehensive vehicle repair.
• Service technician experience involving auto estimating processes and customer service interactions is advantageous.
• Familiarity with diesel engine repair techniques and maintenance procedures for both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Ability to work efficiently on transmissions, powertrain components, wheel alignments, and general vehicle maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards. Pay: $32.40 - $70.00 per hour
