Summary:
The Automotive Parts Associate works in a fast-paced automotive environment that involves constant interaction with customers in person and over the phone, with the use of a computerized automotive parts look-up system.
What You'll Do:
- Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them.
- Sources and orders automotive parts for customers though authorized suppliers.
- Test batteries, operates the battery station.
- Processes returns, warranties and castings as required.
- Clarify customer needs that help to locate the required parts and suggest any related parts in which customers might also need.
- Directs or guides customer to the location of requested items.
- Keep up to date with in-store promotions, deals, new products, and product locations.
- Ensure that your department is customer ready at all times by participating in department tasks such as stocking and facing.
- Working duties include use of retail equipment such as ladders, and dollies. Frequent lifting of variably weighted merchandise is a regular part of the working duties
What You'll Need:
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Basic math and typing skills.
- Comfort in learning or experience with retail computer systems and tools.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a team setting, or individually.
- Ability to consistently provide professional customer service, including in situations of conflicts.
- Strong belief in the Canadian Tire values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic.
